So when we think of contemporary art we may think of artworks that bridge new mediums, try cool techniques for the first time, or take things to a level never thought of before.
And then there are things like this:
My first question to the artists is …. why? To be fair, it’s obvious that I’m not comfortable with compositions of people having done things to their skin but works of art like this makes you really question what art is and whether certain fringe or avant-garde pieces should really be considered art because they’re in museums or a museum poster, respectively, or if they’re simply people doing crazy things. Or maybe that’s what art really is.
